175th Celebration of New Braunfels Founding

The 175th Celebration of New Braunfels Founding events scheduled from 14 to 22 March 2020 are postponed. This is not the first time in the celebration of its Founding that there has been a postponement, although for very different reasons.

Items from the time capsule may be picked up now however from the Sophienburg Museum.

More information can be found at https://since1845.com/

To ensure that the items in the New Braunfels 125th Anniversary Time Capsule did not partially or entirely deteriorate, the Capsule was open in advance under the supervision of the Sophienburg Museum and Archives.  They reported all items survived and an inventory was made of the contents. See this link for a list of the contents, including who provided it and who the object was intended.
