The February meeting of the Comal County Genealogy Society will take place on February 11th at 7:00pm at the Emmie Seele Faust Building at the Sophienburg Archives, 401 W. Coll St., New Braunfels.
Carlos Casteneda will present “Genealogy DNA: How to use it, and what to do with the results”. Carlos Casteneda will use his personal family research and DNA results as an example.
Carlos Casteneda is a native of New Braunfels. He is a member of Los Bexarenos (Hispanic genealogy society in San Antonio) and has done extensive research on his family using documents from Mexico and Spain. He volunteers in their library which contains records going back to the 1700s and knows of other resources available to people in the San Antonio area. He also does research for individuals.
