Does anyone have any information on a Charles Kaiser/Kayser? He (born about 1825) was listed on the 1850 Comal County Census, with wife Louisa (born about 1828) and children Franz (3 yrs) and Mary (1 yr). His wife may have been listed also in the Fredericksburg Census also in 1850.

He is thought to be an abolitionist from Kansas that was famous for what he did up there.

Please send any information to Kay Binder at kaybinder@sbcglobal.net

I would like to thank everyone involved in helping me to locate a photo of the National Guard Band in 1955 at Summer Camp in North Fort Hood, Texas. You don’t know how much I apprecieate everyone’s help; especially Alton Rahe for sending the photo to me and also to Karl Zipp who shared the photo with Mr. Rahe.
I cannot wait to give it to my father. I am so excited. You all are the greatest!!!

I was wondering if there is any place on the New Braunfels Genealogy site to post a request for photos of the National Guard Band.

My father’s birthday is coming up and I am trying to locate a photo of the 36th Infantry Division Band out of the New Braunfels Armory from the late 1950’s to the early 60’s. He was in the National Guard Band from the day he graduated from New Braunfels High School, in I think it was 1954, until the early 60’s. He says they took a photo but he could not afford to buy one at the time with trying to support a young family. I would love to try and find one for him. He says he marched front center.

Or if you know someone who I could contact. I have tried several times to contact the Armory and always get a recording. They have since moved the Band to Austin. I don’t know if they would have the old photos or not. If you know who I might could contact please let me know. I did contact one man from the National Guard that had a web site about the German bands and mentioned that he was in the band but I he did not have one.

    Thanks,
    Linda Mullen

I am a researcher for the Texas Peace Officer memorial. I am looking for any information on the killing of City Marshal Hampe on in January 0f 1883. He was killed by Napoleon Pitts. I need this info in order to place his name for the Texas Peace officer Memorial and the Nation Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington DC.

Thanks, Lt. Kyle Coleman (kcoleman at bexar.org)

    Hello,
Mrs. Kay Ponder search 20 years the birthplace here in Germany of
her Grand, Grandfather. We, here in Germany, will help her.
Adolph Albert Reichenau was a Texas Ranger in Gillespie, Texas.
In 1836 he comes from Germany – but I haven?t found a shiplist.
He has said, that he has living in Germany between Dillenburg and Frankfort, with many horses in a great house. But this is a great
    area between. My query:
Do you have in your Archive Letters about him, further info for us. We will help Mrs. Ponder to find her ancestors in Germany.
    Thanks for your help. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
    Kind regards
    Ingelore Frank, Germany

Thank you for the information. When my Aunt Emma died she was living on Gembler Rd. in San Antonio with a relative of her husband, I believe her name was Viola. I may be wrong about the name but I know she lived on Gembler Rd off W.W.White Rd. Do you know who she might be?

I am looking for information on the family of Albert Lux, born in 1888, died in 1967, buried in Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio. He was married to Emma Buchsenschutz from Wetmore,Texas. Lived in Comal County, old homestead was covered by Canyon Lake. I believe he had a nephew named Felix. Any information will be appreciated.

I am a desendant of Johann Hubertus Lux from Germany. He would be my great great grandfather. He married 3 times and had 12 or 13 children. I come from his lst marriage and I believe the person Albert you are looking for comes from Martin Lux one of Johann’s sons. I am from the daughter Josephine. I cannot find Albert Lux on any of my papers but I did know Felix Lux and I believed him to be a desendant of Johann Hubertus Lux. His daughter and I have been life long friends. I am still researching the Lux families as it is a never ending project but if I can help let me know.

hey robert, my name is steven suniga from lubbock, tx. I was just researching for my family tree aswell as my fiance. See my fiance is african american/ black descent and her grandmother Beatrice wilson (maiden name is basped) is half mexican who’s father is poss basped. Im finding out that he is from Brady, Tx. who was born may 12, 1902 and married beatrice mother sometime in the mid 1920’s, but wasn’t w/ her for very long. Back then im learning that rules and regulations weren’t enforced w/in the minority community. This went on in the McCullough co. , and if it seems like something that you can use then great, email me back brandon082088@yahoo.com. Im still doing research on my family tree and hers, but isn’t it ironic how Mr. Poss Basped was able to maintain an interracial marriage and im in the process of doing the same w/ his granddaughter 80 yrs. later. P.s. if you need some more info. leave me an email.
