I am seeking any info on Flugraths in the area. My line goes Me (Crystal Flugrath Kinman)>My dad – John Flugrath>Hilmar Flugrath>Albert Flugrath>Johann (or John) Flugrath (Possibly Flugradt or Flugrat originally from Germany – immigrated here in 1882). I found a reference to a Flugrath Cotton Gin in Oscar Haas’ history of Comal County book and John is listed in the 1900 census as a cotton ginner. According to the book it was subject to flooding. His son Albert started Flugrath Grocery/Handy Corner which my grandfather Hilmar ran for a long time and vaguely remember from my childhood (I am in my 30’s). Any information on Flugraths you know or know of is appreciated. I came in to the Sophienburg Archives and found a little info with the help of LaVerne. I also plan to talk to my grandpa but his memory seems to be slipping so anything to jog his memory is appreciated. Thanks so much!
