The library has been developed and is supported and maintained by the Daughters of the Republic of Texas for the use of all researchers. The non-circulating collections pertain to the history of Texas, San Antonio, and the Alamo.

- Historic Texas Cemetery Program by the Texas Historical Commission

To address the problem of cemetery destruction and to record as many cemeteries as possible, the Texas Historical Commission oversees the Historic Texas Cemetery designation. Historic Texas Cemetery designation is an official recognition of family and community graveyards and encourages preservation of historic cemeteries. This site has the background as well as the forms needed to nominate a cemetery.
