Add your own Family Reunion Announcement to the Web Site

You can add your own Family Reunion Announcements to the Comal County Genealogy Society website.  It's not that hard, and it may help you find other family members to join in the fun.  Here are the instructions...

To post a Family Reunion Announcement:
1. Go to http://www.ccgsTexas.org
a. Login (this has advantages, see below)
2 Click on "Discussion Groups" on the left menu, then "Family Reunion Announcements" in the center window.
3. You should now be able to see all the previous Family Reunion Announcements
4. Click the "new thread" button
5. Under "Subject" type the title of your Family Reunion.
Use good genealogy query techniques. Capitalize surnames.
6. Under "Message Body" type the full text of your Family Reunion Announcement.
7. Check the "notify me when a reply is posted" if you want (see below)
8. Click on the "Send" button to post the Family Reunion Announcement.

To comments or questions on a Family Reunion Announcement:
1. Go to http://www.ccgsTexas.org
a. Login (this has advantages, see below)
2. Click on "Discussion Groups" on the left menu, then "Family Reunion Announcements" in the center window.
3. You should now be able to see all the previous Family Reunion Announcements
4. Select the Family Reunion Announcement title that you are interested in.
5. You should see full text of the Announcement.
6. Scroll to the bottom of the page. You should see a Reply box to enter your text.
7. Check the "notify me when a reply is posted" if you want (see below)
8. Click on the "Send" button to post the comment or question.


NOTE: 1) If you login first, you will have more options.
For example, you can be notified when someone has posted a comment or question to your Family Reunion Announcement.
It will also display your ID as the person entering the Announcement.
You can also subscribe to topics so that you are notified any time a new post is made.
2) The other Discussion Group forums work in the same way.
