The 6th annual Hill Country Family History Seminar, sponsored by the Genealogical Society of Kendall County, will take place in Boerne, Texas on January 30, 2010. The guest speaker will be Curt Wicher.
Curt B. Witcher is the manager for the Genealogy Center and serves as the general curator for the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He received his B.A. Degree in History and English and his M.L.S. Degree from Indiana University. Curt is the former president of both the Federation of Genealogical Societies and the National Genealogy Society. His topics will be:
- Roll Call: New Sites and Sources for Military Records and Research
- Mining the Mother Lode: Using Periodical Literature for Genealogical Research
- Using Church Records in Your Genealogical Research
- "Pain in the Access:" Getting More from the Internet for Your Genealogy
Books and Things will again be at the Seminar with genealogy books and supplies.

Fee: Early registration before Thursday, January 14, 2010 is $35 for members, $45 for non-member. Seminar registration at the door is $55.00 for everyone.
