Please mark your calendar for the next meeting. Dr. Hans Boas will talk about his book "The Life and Death of Texas German". He will also be available to sign copies of his book.

Dr. Boas is an Assoc. Professor of Germanic Studies, University of Texas at Austin. Since arriving in Central Texas in 2001, Dr. Boas has been intrigued by Texas German and soon began working to develop the Texas German Dialect Project. As a part of that Project, he interviewed 52 fluent Texas German speakers from New Braunfels ranging from 62 to 96 years of age. Those interviews were then used for this book.

The book signing will begin at 6:30 and he will speak starting at 7:30.
