The New Braunfels Gemishcter Chor Harmonie hosts the 62nd Deutsch Texanisches Sängerfest on Saturday May 17 and Sunday May 18 at the Kongresshalle in New Braunfels.

Saturday May 17: Chorgemeinschaft meeting and rehearsal, Deutsch Texanischer Sängerbund delegates meeting, Grand dining and dancing. (reservations only)

Schedule:
1:00 pm Chorgemeinschaft Rehearsal.
3:00 pm Delegates meeting.
5:30 pm Hall will be open for Social Hour.
6:00 pm Seating for Dinner.
7:00 pm Dance. Music provided by Terri Cavanagh and his Alpine Express, during intermission you will be entertained by the Houston Shanty Chor

Sunday May 18: Registration, Massenchor rehearsals, Noon Meal.

Schedule:
09:30 am Registration.
10:00 am Massenchor rehearsals.
12:00 am Dinner. (Singers prepaid by Bund, Guests $10.00)
01:30 pm Saengerfest Konzert.

The concert is open to the public.

Gemischter Chor Harmonie again will have an 'after Sängerfest happy hour' for the participating singers, starting right after the official Sängerfest, with free beer, wine and self serving chips and dips. The musical entertainment for sing-a-long will be provided by Kevin Hatcher and Robert Atwood.

They started this (hopefully) new tradition for the upcoming Texas Sängerfests when Gemischter Chor Harmonie hosted the 2007 Gebirgs Sängerfest in New Braunfels.  It was very well accepted.  The singers stayed and visited with longtime friends from other cities and sang many old time German songs. Singers coming by bus really have an advantage over the local people - you can crawl onto the bus and will be sober after the long bus ride. Please spread the word about the 'after Sängerfest happy hour'. A word of caution: please drink and drive responsible!!!
