Have you ever met the author of a book you’ve read? The Sophienburg will be hosting its first Meet the Local Authors book signing. There’s something for everyone: an autobiography, children’s books, local and Texas history, Civil War, genealogy, beer, romance, true crime and mysteries. Celebrate Local Authors at the Sophienburg Come meet Diane Fanning, Edgar Award finalist true crime and mystery author; local historians: Brenda Anderson-Lindemann, Everett Fey, Myra Lee Goff, Rosemarie Gregory, Eugene Haas, Laurie Jasinski, Roxolin Krueger, Alton Rahe; Texas historians: Janet Kaderli and Mary Kelley Scheer; Civil War authors Dr. Charles Grear and Wilfred Schlather; new author, NBHS senior Jennifer Harrison; retired Texas Ranger Ray Martinez, and last but not least, beer writer Travis Poling. The book signing will take place in the meeting room. There is no charge. Please join us in celebrating our local authors.
