Come join the Comal County Genealogy Society on its summer Field Trip to see the Daughters of the Republic of Texas Library and Archives and other historic attractions in San Antonio. Schedule:
8:15: Meet at First Methodist Church Parking Lot 8:30: Leave for DRT Archives and Library in Alamo Complex 9:30: Arrive at Alamo, disembark at Alamo Hall at rear of complex on Crockett St. Drivers proceed to Parking lot at Ave. E & 4th St. 9:45 - 11:15: Tour the DRT Archives and Library 11:30 - 12:30: Arrive at Schilo's (pronounced She-lows) German Deli for Lunch (424 E. Commerce St.) 12:30: Leave to walk to St. Joseph's Catholic Church (623 E. Commerce St.) 1:00 - 2:00: Tour St. Joseph's Catholic Church 2:00: Leave to catch Street Car to Bexar County Courthouse (100 Dolorosa #104) 2:30 - 4:00: Tour Bexar County Clerk's Office 4:15: Catch Street Car back to Parking Lot - must ask for transfer when paying for ride 4:45: Leave for New Braunfels via E. Houston St. to City Cemetery Historic District then on to N. New Braunfels Ave. to IH 35 Costs: $2 for Street Car to and from Bexar Co. Courthouse Individual Donation to DRT Archives & Library Collection will be taken at Lunch for Donation to St. Joseph's Church Collection taken in each vehicle to cover Parking Lot Cost Suggested donation to cover your Drivers Costs - Lunch |
