Is there anyone out there that has the book History of Sattler and Mountain Valley School, Comal County, Texas 1846 – 1964 by Alton J. Several people on the Texas Centennial mailing list have sent in photos of bronze medallions on the graves of citizens of the Republic of Texas. These are sponsored by the DRT, and if you want to apply for one for an ancestor's grave, an application is at<BR>www.drt-inc.org/forms/2008CitizenMedallionApplicationWithSalesTax.pdf<BR>Be sure you follow their instructions about what to include, the Daughters are sticklers. ;-)<BR><BR>The DRT requires "permission by cemetery authority to place marker" to be enclosed with the application, ...

I wanted to let the mailing list know that Ed and his wife are both in the Kirkwood Nursing home in New Braunfels in the section that is for recovery and will be home when she finally heals. They both got hurt at Christmas from a fall. He fell and in falling his wife who was behind him fell too. She broke a hip and one of her legs. He didn't say how bad his was but he is already mended but his wife needs a little more time. So they will both stay there until both are well. He has always been such a great help as he is a member of the Guadalupe County Genealogy Society. He said ...
