Louise & Herman Zunker ca 1880's
A "rescued" old photograph of Louise & Herman T. ZUNKER which was taken at the Serdinko Studio in New Braunfels, Texas. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with the couple likely in their 20's or 30's at the time it was taken. Handwritten notes on the back also note that it is their wedding picture and that they are the grandparents of Leroy H. ZUNKER. The couple is in the 1910 census of Guadalupe County, TX as follows:

Louise ZUNKER, wife, age 43, married 22 years, 8 children/6 living, born Germany, parents born Germany, to USA 1881

Richard ZUNKER, son, age 18, born TX, a Farm Laborer
Max ZUNKER, son, age 16, born TX, a Farm Laborer
Felix ZUNKER, son, age 14, born TX, a Farm Laborer
Irma ZUNKER, dau, age 7, born TX
Rena ZUNKER, dau, age 4, born TX
Christian HARTMANN, head, age 71, a widow, 8 children/8 living, born Germany, parents born Germany, to USA 1881
Anna HARTMANN, dau, age 35, born Germany, parents born Germany, to USA 1881, a Private Family Servant
Malwine ZUNKER, wife, age 83, a widow, born Germany parents born Germany, to USA 1873

It is thought that the two older woman are Herman and Louise's Mother's and that Anna HARTMANN is Louise's younger sister. The owner of this photograph is hoping to locate someone from this ZUNKER Family so that this beautiful old photograph can be returned to its rightful place with family.
